Mindfulness meditation in Singapore has gained so much popularity over the years but just what is mindfulness meditation? Where did this practice come from? Contrary to the newness of this trend, mindfulness comes from Buddhism which is a 2500-year-old tradition and mindfulness is it’s foundational practice. The meditation itself is non-religious so you do not have to be Hindu or Buddhist to to practice it. Modern mindfulness can be learned or practiced by anyone.
Mindfulness meditation can be described as learning to bring our attention to the present moment by focusing on our breath and simply seeing what arises without judgment or bias. There is on-going research about the science and benefits of mindfulness, revealing that it may help you develop clarity and strength of mind and may even boost your ability to solve problems.
